Don¡Çt go empty handed
It will ultimately need to go there anyway so why leave it for you to do as a separate chore? You¡Çre headed in the same direction as the laundry needs to go, right? So take it with you! Don¡Çt go empty handed. This is something that most people tend to do. They overlook or ignore what¡Çs in front of their faces because it¡Çs a chore to have carry the laundry – or the books, or the shoes, or the briefcase – wherever you¡Çre going. Besides, the though is always there that you can always get to it later. And if you believe that, you¡Çre one of those people like me who have managed to successfully avoid looking at their clutter for many years! Taking it along with you whenever you go in the same direction is one of the best ways of cutting down on accumulated clutter as well as one of the best ways of cutting down on overall work. This will take a bit of practice however. Just like you spent years in accumulating clutter, you also spent years in training yourself to take no notice when there was something around to carry. Once you get into the hang of things however, you will find that you¡Çre doing it without even thinking about it! And that¡Çs what you want to aim for. |
